Shell - SWN (Shell Women's Network)

 

Goal

Shell Women’s Network Netherlands (SWN-NL) is a volunteer organisation that strives to create a platform to enable its members to develop and grow. The Network builds on the existing Shell policies and development opportunities and directly contributes to the inclusive environment in Shell.

Target group

All men and women working in Shell in the Netherlands.

1600 members (including men)

Location

For SWN the Netherlands: The Hague, Rijswijk, Assen, Rotterdam and Amsterdam There are also Shell Women networks in other Shell locations around the world, approximately 30 in total.

Structure

A steering committee consisting of representatives of the subcommittees and represenatives of the branches. The subcommittees are Events, Finance, Communication, Mentoring Circles, Strategy and Cross-networking.

Activities

National and local network activities include: - learning and development events - networking drinks - mentoring circles - Website and quarterly newsletter

Share experiences Share best practices Offer members opportunities to broaden their network across organisation borders in the Netherlands Targeting specific groups of members (for example higher echelons, members in the Northern provinces)
